Rakeen to develop satellite township

Rakeen Development Company (BD) Ltd., will develop their maiden township project Bijoy Rakeen City, a joint development project executed under an agreement with Muktijoddah-o-Muktijoddah Paribar Kalyan Samity, for development 4.5 Million Sq. ft. over 16.02 acres of land located in Mirpur.
Rakeen signed a construction agreement for the project with Chinese construction giant China Railway 15 Bureau Group Corporation Ltd. (CR15G) on Saturday.
The Project “Bijoy Rakeen City” includes 15 Storied 36 residential buildings (1950 apartments), 12 storied commercial and community buildings and nursery and primary schools.
The Project is developing with almost modern facilities including jogging track, fully equipped club house, swimming pool, community center, mosque, landscaped gardens and other necessary infrastructures.
The project value is expected to be Tk. 1,800 crores and to be completed in 2017.
The agreement was signed by S.A.K. Ekramuzzaman, managing director of Rakeen and Xu Dongkun, group chairman of CR15G at a city hotel.
During the occasion Chairman of RAKEEN S.A.K. Anwaruzzaman announced the upcoming projects of the company, Rakeen Kanchpur Tower, a commercial cum residential building with built up area of approx 500,000 sq.ft comprises shops, cineplex, office spaces and approx . 300 residential apartments with an average size of 1,250 sq. ft and Rakeen Kanchpur City, a township developing over 40 acres of land includes residential buildings (4500 apartments), commercial and office spaces, community and healthcare center and educational institutions .
