Sonar Bangla Ins gets chair, vice-chair

The board of directors of Sonar Bangla Insurance Ltd unanimously re elected Sheikh Kabir Hossain as chairman and elected Md Ruhul Amin as vice chairman.

The election was held at the 88th meeting of the board of directors of the company at a hotel in the city recently.

Sheikh Kabir Hossain is the Chairman of Bangladesh Insurance Associatioin (BIA), vice-chairman of Islamia Eye Hospital, Dhaka. He was the chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College. He was the International Director of Lions Club. He has founded many schools, colleges, mosques and related with various social activities. He was born at Tongipara Upazila under Gopalgonj district in the respected Sheikh family.

The newly elected vice chairman Md Ruhul Amin is a renowned businessman and industrialist. He is the Chairman & Managing Director of Comfort Group. He is actively associated with various social activity, said a press release.
