MoU signed on branchless rural banking
  One Bank Limited will introduce branchless mobile banking service for rural communities across the country.

The bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Local Government Division (LGD) and UNDP-supported Access to Information (A2I) Programme of the Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka, according to a press release received here on Saturday.

Under the MoU, the bank will introduce branchless mobile banking in 156 unions in Rangamati, Khagrachhori and Rajshahi district as pilot project to provide banking facilities to rural communities.

Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, Project Director of A2I Programme, Shamima Nargis, Joint Secretary of LGD, and Farman R. Chowdhury, Managing Director of ONE Bank Limited, signed the MOU.
