CSBIB general meeting held |

The 28th General Meeting of Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) was held at the board room of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) in the city Thursday.
CSBIB Chairman Mufti Abdur Rahman presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
The meeting was attended by the chairmen and managing directors of the member banks and also the chairmen and member secretaries of the Shariah Supervisory Committees of the relevant banks including Prof Dr Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, vice chairman of CSBIB, Shah Abdul Hannan, EC chairman of CSBIB, Anwer Hossain Khan, chairman of SJIBL, and Md Mukhlesur Rahman, secretary general of the CSBIB.
The meeting discussed different issues related with Shariah compliance of Islamic Banks in Bangladesh and took a decision to set up a training institute in national level for intensive training and research on Islamic banking under the joint auspices of the banks. The meeting also approved Shariah principles/opinion for three issues as well as audit report, annual budget and yearly work plan of the board. |
