The First South Asian Special Olympics 5-a-side football comprising six teams from India, Nepal, Pakistan and hosts Bangladesh commences at the Army Stadium today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest.
However, after the inauguration all the matches will be played at BKSP.
Hosts Bangladesh and India will field two teams each in the tournament with the top two teams advancing to the final scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
Bangladesh won the gold of the Special Olympics 11-a-side football in Greece in July, 2011.
