Castrol Offshore, a sister concern of British Petroleum (BP) Plc, has entered the Bangladesh market with Rahimafrooz Distribution Ltd.

Castrol Offshore executes the lubricant business of BP Plc, one of the world’s leading energy companies. Castrol provides lubricant products and lubrication services to the energy sector worldwide, said a press release.

According to the release, the company will offer regionally managed branded products in Bangladesh through Rahimafrooz to support the power, oil and gas exploration and production industries.

Castrol Offshore Regional Business Manager for India, Middle East and South Asia William Dsouza said, “Bangladesh is augmenting its current power generation capacity to meet double digit growth in demand year on year.”
