Our correspondent in Narayanganj reports that a speedy bus crushed a woman worker of Sinha factory, identified as Sonia 22, when police attacked agitating workers to disperse them from the highway, according to witnesses. Labour unrest in Sinha group factories at Kanchpur under Sonargaon thana continued for the second day on Tuesday after sudden closure of its RMG units. Our correspondent in Gazipur reports: garment workers blocked Dhaka-Tangail highway for about one hour on Tuesday afternoon after a fellow worker died in a road accident at Purba Mauchak under Kaliakoir upaizla. The angry workers ransacked a number of factories and vandalised some buses. The deceased was identified as Lima Akter,22, of Amtoli in Barguna district and a worker of Jhalu Knitwear Limited at Purba Mauchak of Gazipur.
