There’s been a lot of speculation over who would join Anu Malik, Salim Merchant and Sunidhi Chauhan as the fourth judge on Indian Idol season 6. We can now confirm that she will be none other than Asha Bhonsle. Even music maestro AR Rahman was approached for the show.
The veteran singer has graced various reality shows as a celebrity judge in the past, but this is the first time that she will be a full-fledged judge on a show. Asha will not be part of the audition rounds but will join the three judges from the gala rounds. Incidentally, she was to judge Sur Kshetra with Abida Parveen, Runa Laila, Himesh Reshammiya and Atif Aslam.
