The Benchmark General Index DGEN was down by 1.48 per cent today. The market continued to lose ground on low volume. The wait and see policy of most market participants regarding resolution of sponsor shareholding issue along with lack of institutional participation continued to drive the market lower. However, from a technical point of view the market is close to oversold region with daily RSI at 31.2.

Daily Trade Value was only Tk 1.84 billion. From resumption of trading, market was in downtrend and closed marginally below 4650 level. Broad based sell-off was noticed with all the sectors ending down.
