The 3-day third Indo-Bangla Trade Fair 2012 (IBTF 2012) will begin at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the city tomorrow (Thursday).
India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) is organizing the fair.
The Fair is supported by the High Commission of India in Bangladesh and sponsored by State Bank of India to strengthen the business relations between Bangladesh and India.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith will grace the inaugural function as chief guest and will inaugurate the fair. Industries Minister Dilip Barua, High Commissioner of India Pankaj Saran, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Nabam Tuki and Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma will address the inaugural ceremony.
Also on the opening day, a Bangladesh-North East India Business Conclave, organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce in association with IBCCI will be held in the afternoon where Dr Dipu Moni, Minister for Foreign Affairs, will be the Chief Guest. It will be attended by policymakers and business persons of both the countries.
A business delegation from India and a delegation of government officials from North East Indian states are also due in city for meaningful interactions with their Bangladesh counterparts.
The Fair will be participated by more than 35 (Thirty Five) Bangladeshi and Indian companies in eight pavilions and 33 stalls where they will showcase different products and services. There will also be one-to-one meetings, which will boost networking among the business persons of both the countries.
Confederation of Indian Industry and Federation of Indian Export Organisation are the partners in India. Triune Exhibition and Event Management Services (TEEMS) is the Event Coordinator.
