Abahani Limited and Usha Krira Chakra won their respective opening group B matches of the Walton Club Cup Hockey at the Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium in the city Friday, reports BSS.

In the day's first match, title aspirant Abahani Limited blanked Wari Club by 4-0 goals.

The winners were stretched in the first period of play as they took a narrow 1-0 goal lead before the lemon break.

Puskar Khisha scored a brace while Iqbal Nadir Prince and Hasan Jubayer Niloy scored one goal apiece for Abahani Limited.

In the day's other match, Usha KC also were in top form as they drubbed Bangladesh Sporting Club by 7-0 goals.

The winners were run away by 5-0 goals lead before the breather.

Din Islam, M Imran and Ahasan Ullah Khan struck twice each while Sarwar Hossain netted another one goal for Usha KC.
