Central Shariah Board for Islamic Banks of Bangladesh (CSBIB) has decided to offer Islamic Banking Award to honour personalities and organisations, who/which have made outstanding contributions to development, advancement, expansion, diversification and research works for Islamic economics and Islamic banking in Bangladesh.

The award consists of a certificate, a medal or crest and a cash endowment of Tk 100,000 (one hundred thousand) only, said a press release.

According to the decision, CSBIB is inviting nomination of eligible personalities and organisations from Islamic personalities, Islamic banks, Islamic financial institutions, universities, intellectual organisations and other learned circles for 'CSB Islamic Banking Award' for the year 2007.

The release said rules and regulations of the award and nomination forms are available at the CSBIB office and also at the website , which must be sent to the following address Convener, Award Committee, Central Shariah Board Islamic Banking Award 2007, CSBIB General Secretariat, 55/B Purana Paltan, 11th Floor, Dhaka-1000 by July 31, 2008.
