Swiss food giant Nestle on Thursday announced plans to increase output and create 300 new jobs at a central England factory that produces pods for its Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee range.

"Nestle UK & Ireland today announced the investment of £110 million ($171 million, 128 million euros) in its Tutbury site in Derbyshire creating a world class coffee manufacturing facility," it said in a statement.

"The extension to the existing Nescafe Dolce Gusto plant will treble its production capacity and create 300 new jobs."
