Sahara wants BB to ease financing process in housing
Visiting chairman of the Sahara India Pariwar, Subrata Roy, on Thursday urged the government to ease the process of financing in the housing sector ‘for the sake of’ constructing more houses for the lower and middle income people.
He also requested for tax rebate for investment in the country before enlistment in the capital market.
Subrata Roy came up with the proposals at the meeting with governor of Bangladesh Bank Atiur Rahman at the conference room of the BB in the city.
In India, Subrata said the investment in housing sector was considered as preferential and that’s why the investment in housing sector for the banks and other financial organisations was very easy.
‘Bank loan with lower interest rate is comparatively easy in India for purchasing and constructing houses,’ he said.
Calling upon the central bank for taking an initiative to ease the financing process in housing sector, he said there might be an opportunity to invest undisclosed money in housing sector. ‘The volume of undisclosed money has already been exhausted in India due to such an investment opportunity,’ he opined.
